Duckworth is the world’s only source-verified, single-origin Merino wool clothing company. Founded in 2014 by Robert 'Bernie' Bernthal and fourth-generation rancher John Helle, the company is based in Dillon, Montana. Unlike most wool brands that source from global auctions, Duckworth gets 100% of its wool from the Helle Rambouillet ranch in southwest Montana. This 'Sheep to Shelf' supply chain ensures that every garment can be traced back to the specific flock it came from. The wool is grown at high altitudes in extreme conditions, resulting in a fiber that is naturally softer, more durable, and better at regulating temperature than standard merino. By keeping the entire process—from shearing to spinning to knitting—within a tightly controlled US-based network, Duckworth maintains an independence that is virtually non-existent in the modern apparel industry.
