Fygg Toothpaste was founded in 2023 by functional dentists Dr. Mark Burhenne (@askthedentist), Dr. Staci Whitman (@doctorstaci), and Catharine Burhenne after years of frustration with "natural" toothpastes that disrupted the oral microbiome. Even fluoride-free alternatives often contained essential oils, harsh foaming agents, and unnecessary additives that harmed beneficial bacteria in the mouth. So they decided to formulate their own—one that supports whole-body wellness by nourishing the oral microbiome instead of destroying it.

Fygg features 15.5% nano-hydroxyapatite (nanoXIM by Fluidinova, Europe's highest-quality nHA) combined with oral microbiome-nourishing ingredients like L-arginine, xylitol, and prebiotics. The formula is free from fluoride, emulsifiers, SLS, and unnecessary chemicals. Fygg remains independently owned and operated by its dentist founders, who formulated it for their own families and patients before bringing it to market.
