Taos Herb Company opened in 1981 as a 400-square-foot shop on Paseo Del Pueblo Sur. Rob Hawley and Tina Hahn built it from scratch — two herbalists with deep roots in New Mexico's traditional healing culture, selling tinctures, bulk herbs, and remedies to a community that never stopped using plant medicine in the first place.

The business changed hands recently — not to a corporation or investment group, but to Chelsea Crawford, a longtime employee who'd worked alongside Hawley and Hahn for years.
