StarWalker Organic Farms

StarWalker Organic Farms is a third-generation, family-owned regenerative organic farm founded in 1970 when the Walker family purchased 3,500 acres at the base of the Marble Mountains in Scott Valley, Northern California. In 2012, Jason Walker (grandson of the original founders) and his wife Kristina took over farm operations from Jason's parents, becoming the third generation to steward the land. The farm produces certified organic, 100% grass-fed beef and pasture-raised pork while maintaining one of the oldest certified organic operations in California and achieving Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC) for its commitment to soil health, animal welfare, and social fairness.

The Walker family has pioneered regenerative ranching in Northern California for over 50 years, refusing chemical inputs long before organic certification existed. Jason's father questioned pesticide salesmen's claims in the 1980s, maintaining the family's chemical-free farming philosophy that predated the mainstream organic movement. Today, Jason and Kristina manage the 3,000+ acre operation with their children Cobi and Calii learning the ropes as the fourth generation. While the farm has received mission-driven investment to support infrastructure and regenerative transition costs, the Walker family retains full operational control and ownership of StarWalker Organic Farms.
